Rodney Cornelius was born on censored in lovely southern California - it really was back then! Rod spent his early years surfing and catching shit for having long hair. He played bass in his first band, The Undercurrents starting in 1963.
When the surf music craze died off he moved into The Chandells, an R'n'B combo that was the house band at Reb Foster's Revellaire Club. Look for The Chandells release of "Louie, Louie" on Ace Records.
After a stint in the Air Force and some fancy college learnin', Rod turned to acting, securing a role in the film "Rampage" , (directed by William "Exorcist" Friedkin) as a prison guard made red by a serial killer.
Rod reached the pinnacle of his acting career with an appearance as "bad guy #2 in an episode of The A-Team!!
An allergic reaction to Andrew Lloyd Webber terminated his acting career, directing Rod back to music; after wearing out a couple of punk bands, he was ready to join the Trouble Makers. Since he was the only one of original three who could actually play, he was immediately moved to guitar.
Besides screaming into his guitar pickups, Rodney enjoys playing his didjeridoo, riding his bike and knitting. In 1997 Rod moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a place he thought would allow him to escape the constraints of being in a retarded garage-rock combo once and for all. He was wrong.
